About the Center

The Center for Sustainable Development of the Water Sector is a state institution within the system of the Ministry of Water Resources of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Legal status

The Center for Sustainable Development of the Water Sector (the “Center”) is a state institution and carries out its activities in accordance with the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the laws of the Republic of Uzbekistan, resolutions of the Oliy Majlis, decrees, resolutions and orders of the President, resolutions of the Cabinet of Ministers and other legislative acts.

The Center's activities are coordinated, in the established manner, by the unit of the Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration for water supply system reform. The Center reports to the Ministry of Water Resources of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Funding

The Center's activities are financed from the state budget. The Center may also attract funds under contracts with legal entities and individuals, grants — including foreign grants — and funds from other sources not prohibited by law.

In Russian — full name: Центр устойчивого развития в водной сфере, abbreviated: ЦУРВХ.

In English — full name: Center for Sustainable Development of the Water Sector, abbreviated: CSDWS.
