Third Roundtable of the Uzbekistan Country Platform
Working Group Meeting on Drinking Water Supply and Wastewater Management Held
On 11 October, the Ministry of Construction and Housing and Communal Services, in cooperation with the Results Delivery Unit of the Agency for Strategic Reforms under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, held a meeting of the Working Group on Water Resources, Water Supply and Sanitation dedicated to drinking water supply and wastewater management.
The meeting addressed the following issues:
- accelerating investment projects in drinking water supply and wastewater management;
- expanding stakeholder participation in construction activities under the projects;
- introducing a public evaluation system;
- conducting tenders online;
- increasing transparency in ongoing projects;
- ensuring the proper maintenance of systems constructed under the projects.
